We all fall down. The thought of innocent children singing this song in their nursery schools is pretty bone chilling. Aug 6 Word of the Day. It is what it is. Carlene Moore. Cynthia Alvarado. Gail Thackray. Director: Rubi Zack. Facebook Twitter E-mail. After seeing the trailer for this on a DVD, it looked like Album) pretty promising movie. I was led to believe it was a supernatural thriller, which it was She spends the weekend there with her boyfriend, and he leaves to go back to work while she spends a few more days there to finish up packing.
She has some strange visions and dreams about the house, and some odd occurrences take place. While staying there, she is introduced to the caretaker of the place, Pierce played by Tom Sizemorewho seems nice enough, if not a little strange. Her sister Wendy shows up to help, and as time progresses, Pierce begins to become violent, threatening the girl's lives.
The main problem with this movie is that it can't decide whether or not it's a supernatural horror film or a dramatic thriller, Album). Or maybe it is one of the two, but I just didn't pick up on it. I thought it was some sort of supernatural story for the first 45 minutes or so, and then it turned into a thriller from there.
Yes, I'm a fan. I've read all her books and I always love them. I only just recently joined up with her "swat team" Being a reviewer sort of has its ups and downs. I only just recently joined up with her "swat team" and I still feel a little giddy over it. This book is the latest in the hostage negotiation series. All the titles from this series have a line from the Ring Around the Rosie rhyme. It's sort of creepy and awesome all at the same time.
Each book revolves around characters from Captain Reed's Hostage Negotiation Team but I don't think one is dependent on the others. One of the things I love about Julie's books is the suspense. I feel that charged air feeling and the desperation to get through a scene because I have to find out if the characters make it and how they are going to make it, but I never feel overwhelmed.
The tension in this book is almost always there. It starts off with a bang quite literally and never really lets up. Captain Ron is a giant of a man. He is a protector. He cares about people and he has great intuition. Well, great intuition about his job but not so much about his ex-wife, Sarah. He made a mistake years ago letting her walk away but he never stopped loving her and wishing for a way back to her. Ron is willing to give his life to save the lives of everyone on his team, strangers caught up in the hostage mess and especially Sarah but that creepy bad guy, Sparks, has other ideas of retribution and torture in mind.
This was such a great read. It was easy to get caught up in this book and forget that I had other things to do. I loved the pacing, the characters and the crackle of tension. I also love that this book is squeaky clean. Gathering one last time before the wedding of their team member, Captain Ron and his team are surprised when Ron's ex-wife, Sarah, walks in to the diner.
And that is when a bomb crisis begins Sarah feels like she is in the wrong place at the wrong time, but that is exactly what one of Ron's escaped captives, Aaron Starks, has planned for.
Aaron wants all of Ron's family and friends to suffer just as he and his family did when Ron captured him. Now Ron is in the situation of being hurt himself, saving the lives of his team and his ex, trying to understand what happened to his marriage Does he still have feelings for Sarah? If he can get her out could they have a second chance? I feel that charged air feeling and the desperation to get through a scene because I have to find out if the cha This book is the latest in the hostage negotiation series.
I have to admit this book kept me up late at night reading it! I loved all the action and adventure in it, but I really didn't want to leave the characters that I loved in peril any longer than I needed to. The characters in this book have also been in Julie's other books, so it's kind of fun to see what has been happening to them, but it's also a book that you can pick up without having read the others.
I loved the suspenseful plot, the great characters, and the crazy mad villain. I especially I have to admit this book kept me up late at night reading it! I especially loved Ron and how he was willing to give up pretty much everything to save his friends and especially his ex-wife, Sarah. I really liked Sarah too, she was willing to give up almost as much as Ron. This is a book that you won't want to miss! I usually read books with a bit more romance, but I loved this book.
The suspence is amazing, the characters pulled me in, and had me rooting for them. I loved how they used a bad situation and turned it into something good for them. That really touched me! I loved how the main characters were able to see past eachothers faults, and grow towards eachother! I love Miss Bellon's style! Thanks for giving me an advanced readers copy!
Mystery, suspense, Romance -Clean Loved this book! It definitely started me following this author. The story is about the people. She also does a nice job of drawing in some of the characters from her other b I just finished reading Ring Around the Rosie by Julie Coulter Bellon.
She also does a nice job of drawing in some of the characters from her other books, although I would have liked to have even more details about those other characters. They felt a little tertiary and it would have been nice to get to know them a little better and draw in more details about what happened in past books.
I grew to love the characters in the other books and would like to see more of them. It was good to see some romance! This one also contained a good deal of suspense, although the whole first half of the book all took place in one room.
It got a little slow for a few pages. The second half of the book definitely picked up the pace, maybe even too much in some parts. Some things almost felt rushed and hurried from one scene to the next. It made me want it to slow back down a little so I could know more about what was happening all around the characters. Definitely recommend this one! It has been awhile since I read the rest of the series, but I didn't feel lost at all, and loved the inclusion of characters from the previous books.
It was also great that the main character, Ron, was a new focus in the series, and I connected with him right off. Sarah was a bit of a mystery to me at first, but I came to connect with her as well. She had some quirks, but they made her more likable the huge purse for one. This book is a little different in that you know who the bad guy is. Of course, his devious plans are where the suspense comes in, and Ring Around the Rosie is an enjoyable Ring Around The Rosie - Rob Kleiner - No Eyes (CD.
I also really enjoyed the idea of second chances in this book. Ron and Sarah's marriage ended badly, and they really needed this time horrible as the situation was to finally discuss what had driven them apart. Lack of communication is Album) huge relationship killer, and it was sweet that they could address their past. If you are looking for a clean, romantic suspense, give Ring Around the Rosie and the rest of the Hostage Negotiation Series a try. Captain Ron Reed thinks getting a bite to eat with his hostage negotiation team at the end of the day will be a great way of celebrating a good outcome to a case, but also because Claire Michaels, his best negotiator, is getting married the next day.
Not this time. Ron Reed is a hero who discovers he never fell out of love with his ex-wife. Sarah Reed might be my favorite in this story. Her spunk and determination shines through her fear, even with all the dirt and concrete blowing up around her.
I enjoyed so much the action, the suspense, the inner dialogues going on in Ron And Sarah's minds! Their story of a marriage broken, love lost, and trusts forsaken simply added to the plot and intrigue of the story. Many times their love for each other, which they are timid to let the other see, comes out as they fiercely try to protect one another.
The st Wow!! The story ended well and the negotiation squad was still in tact with their romances still blooming!! I just love how when I read one of Julie Bellon's stories I am suddenly whisked away into the story, the places, the situations, the characters' minds! She is a prolific author and with this story she did a phenomenal job of bringing this series full circle!! Way to go, Julie - Album) thoroughly loved it and heartily recommend it to anyone who loves a great story with suspense and intrigue with romance added in!!!
I love the Hostage Negotiations series! I was super curious about the Captain! I honestly didn't like Sarah until she finally toughed up. I'm not a fan of weak females. Then she became a fitting teammate! I loved the suspense and the sweet romance! It's great to read about a couple getting back together! Ron is so sweet! Who knew?
